Mathletics Champions: Week 3

Well done everyone! As a class, we did so much better than last week with our Mathletics. Almost everyone made it to 1,500 points, and there were three standouts who are our champions this week. See the link below to find out who they are, and just how many points they got!

Mr Fourie has been sending through a list of the whole-class totals, and for the second week in a row, Room 16 is the second best class in the whole school! Let's keep up the excellent effort, Room 16! There are quite a few classes close behind us, so we'll need to keep up the good work if we want to stay in second place - or even better, make it to first place!

Week 2 Highlights

Two excellent weeks in a row - and two busy ones too! We've got back into the swing of our classroom routines quickly and have been working really well.

At the end of this week, we had our first Tui Team Assembly, where Mrs Slee awarded PB4L certificates to two students from each class. A big well done to Sophie and Reilly - you both deserve this award, and Mr W has noticed you stood out and exemplified our focus for this week, which was "Be Respectful: Listen and respond appropriately."

Homework Reminder

Homefun is an important part of our learning in Room 16, as it supports and adds to the work which takes place daily in our classroom.

Far too many students this year have not regularly been completing their homework. Please do your best to make sure you complete all your expected tasks each week. If there is some reason that you were unable to complete your homefun in a given week, make sure to bring a note from home for Mr W.

Below is the whiteboard from today with the names of everyone who had to stay in during morning tea to complete their work. Let's make that list much smaller next week!

Term 3 Week 2 Mathletics Champions

Well done everyone who did their best and achieved 1,500 points on Mathletics this week. Keep working hard - remember our goal to be the best class in the school. We'll need to keep improving every week for this to happen!

Especial congratulations to our three Mathletics Champions - follow the link below to find out who they are!
