Tui Team Homefun Club

To help our students become more self-managing and responsible about completing and remembering to bring their homefun to school by the due date, the Tui Team has implemented a Friday "Homefun Club" during morning tea and lunch eating times for students who have not completed or forgotten their homefun.

Students are still able to eat and are not expected to spend their entire break times in the club.

After three weeks we have already found that children are developing their self-management skills and are understanding the importance of completing tasks set for home.

We acknowledge that there are times when students may not get their Homefun completed for one reason or another. In these instances, please feel free to email or send a note to let the teacher know, and they will be excused from the Homefun club.

Tips to help your children become more independent with their homework
  • Provide a break between getting home from school and starting their homework.
  • Set aside a specific time and place for Homefun.
  • Let your child's teacher know early on in the week if there is anything that is confusing or not clear about the Homefun.
  • Children will always have Homefun, unless you receive notification otherwise.
